March Formation Recommendation: 5:2:3 Ratio

The game’s built-in “Balance” or “Quick Select” function evenly distributes your highest-tier troops, but this is often not the optimal strategy.

  • Traditional Balanced Formation:

Highest number of Infantry (serving as tanks) Moderate number of Cavalry Lowest number of Archers

  • LDShop’s Recommended Adjustment:

(50%) Archers (30%) Infantry (20%) Cavalry

  • (50%) Archers should be the most numerous (as they are the primary damage dealers).
    • (30%) Infantry should be the second largest group (but still sufficient to form a sturdy frontline to absorb damage).
    • (20%) Cavalry should be the smallest group (their value lies in triggering the “Flanking” skill to bypass the frontline and target rear units, rather than serving as main forces).

Garrison (City Defense) Formation - 7/3/0 Ratio

The “7” represents Infantry, “3” represents Cavalry, and “0” represents Archers. This means that for a total capacity of 10, your troops should consist of 7 Infantry, 3 Cavalry, and 0 Archers. When defending, your army needs higher HP to absorb as much damage as possible. Since Archers are relatively fragile, and if the enemy lineup has a large number of Cavalry, they can break through the defense line and directly target the Archers. Garrison (City Defense) Formation - 7/3/0 Ratio

Pitfall/Bear Hunt Event Formation - 1/1/8 Ratio

The “1” represents Infantry, “1” represents Cavalry, and “8” represents Archers. This means that for a total capacity of 10, your troops should consist of 1 Infantry, 1 Cavalry, and 8 Archers. According to the Bear Hunt event mechanics, bringing a large number of Archers is the optimal choice because they are the highest damage-dealing units in the army. In the Bear Hunt event, the score depends on how much lethal damage you can deal. Pitfall/Bear Hunt Event Formation - 1/1/8 Ratio
