What is Hammerspoon?
This is a tool for powerful automation of macOS. At its core, Hammerspoon is just a bridge between the operating system and a Lua scripting engine. What gives Hammerspoon its power is a set of extensions that expose specific pieces of system functionality, to the user.
What can it do for me?
You can write Lua code that interacts with macOS APIs for applications, windows, mouse pointers, filesystem objects, audio devices, batteries, screens, low-level keyboard/mouse events, clipboards, location services, wifi, and more. If you want to explore the options Hammerspoon offers, check out the Getting Started Guide and the full API documentation as well as the already pre-made plugins called Spoons. Typically you would write a configuration file in Lua that connects events to actions. You might want to bind a keyboard shortcut to a series of window operations, or an applescript. You might want to run a series of commands when your wifi interface connects to your home network. You might want to display an alert when your battery drops below a certain percentage. You might want to do something crazy like have iTunes automatically start playing when your Mac detects you are in Paris.
Accurately transcribe any audio or video file
Whether you’re transcribing a podcast or creating subtitles for a video project, Descript’s easy-to-use free transcription software offers accurate transcription with the click of a button. You can upload any video or audio file and Descript will transcribe it for you in a matter of minutes.A better Finder, more flexible and has rich features! And QSpace can connect to FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, Aliyun Drive, SMB, NFS, AFP, Amazon S3(and S3 compatible), Aliyun OSS servers. It has similar interface like Finder, and supports more customizations and practical features.
SelfControl is a free and open-source application for macOS that lets you block your own access to distracting websites, your mail servers, or anything else on the Internet. Just set a period of time to block for, add sites to your blocklist, and click "Start." Until that timer expires, you will be unable to access those sites—even if you restart your computer or delete the application.
Ooooo
This is a straightforward app to help you achieve a chosen mind-state by generating what are known as "binaural beat audio waves" through your headphones, either from your iOS device, Mac, or your Apple Watch.
Depending on the frequency that you pick, based on the chart included in the app, it can potentially help with sleep, meditation, relaxation, or even for getting a short burst of energy. I have used similar apps for a while and have found them useful in helping me relax, or helping me float into a creative mood - Except most are overloaded with features that I never use and also cost money, have in-app purchases for "special programmes" and so on.
So I decided to build one that does the same, works offline, has no ads or spying, works well, and is free. There's also an Apple Watch app included which you can use if you're mediating or relaxing away from your phone. As such, this app just generates the binaural frequency audio hum, and some optional white or brown noise to help mask outside sounds. You can then put it in the background and combine its audio with any other sound generator you like, or play music, radio, and so forth. All it does is to create the useful brainwave frequency, and then it gets out of your way.

YOUR DRAG & DROP ASSISTANT FOR Mac
Gladys is a drag-and-drop shelf that holds things you want to set aside, such as links, text snippets, map locations, contacts, images, photos, emails, messages and much more (even if the application that the information came from is removed) It works with any app that supports drag-and-drop, and helps keep you focused by letting you quickly set something aside, without having to consider where it needs to be dropped, or having to constantly switch between apps.
- A completely native Mac app, using standard key combinations such as copy and paste, Quicklook, Spotlight, Handoff, service integrations and a share extension for apps that don't support drag & drop.
- Quickly search for items inside the app or via Spotlight.
- Annotate items with notes, custom titles, and tag items with labels that allow you to easily categorise, browse, and sort your collection.

- Invite friends to keep items from your own collection in their own collections, and, if you give permission, even collaboratively annotate and edit them.
- Ideal for bookmarking between apps: For example you can quickly return to dropped email items by selecting 'Open' in their info view, or quickly share links between different browsers.
- Advanced users can import/export/merge collection archives, as well as export items in a ZIP file for sharing, download items pointed to by web links, and even archive web pages.
- Experienced users can get details on dropped items and extract or modify specific data components (e.g. extract the URL of an image link, instead of the whole item, add a new image, or edit the title).
- Technical users can reveal the raw binary "blob" in Finder to access the raw bytes of whatever data was dragged in for further processing.
